Congratulations to this year’s CHAI graduates, Thomas Krendl Gilbert and Vael Gates.

Tom is graduating with his PhD in Machine Ethics and Epistemology. This fall he will join the Digital Life Initiative at Cornell Tech as a postdoc. At Cornell Tom will work on expanding the PERLS (Political Economy of Reinforcement Learning Systems) community.

Vael is graduating with their PhD in Neuroscience with a focus on computational cognitive science. This fall Vael will start as a postdoc at Stanford HAI / CISAC, where they intend to work on an ethnography of AI researchers.
