CHAI PhD student Rohin Shah’s Alignment Newsletter has grown from a handful of volunteers to a team of people paid to summarize content.

The Alignment Newsletter, which was incubated at CHAI during 2018, has gone from a small team with a few volunteers working for free to its current iteration.

New changes include:

• Everyone helping out with the newsletter has the option of being paid.
• There are now eight active content summarizers and a formal application process for new members.
• Georg Arndt has taken over the publisher role from Rohin Shah.
• The processes, norms and standards of the newsletter have been standardized.
