Julian Yocum

Julian is a PhD student studying AI cognition and deep learning theory through the lenses of neuroscience, physics, and mechanistic & developmental interpretability. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in physics and AI at MIT, where he was advised by Dylan Hadfield-Menell.

While he does not believe in desks, you can catch him in the BAIR cafeteria or the cafe across the street. Things he does believe in include dancing, singing, and getting lost (regardless of competency).
