Joseph Halpern

CHAI honors the memory and contributions of former CHAI faculty member Joseph Halpern. Prof. Halpern was a Professor of Computer Science at Cornell University. His research focused on the interface between game and decision theory and computer science, reasoning about knowledge and uncertainty, and causality. His work also shaped conversations in security, fault-tolerant distributed computing, and modal logic.
